My Review:
I seem to be doing a lot of short books lately. This one packs a lot between its covers. And it's totally unexpected. A story of the daughter of Hades by a mother that's basically unknown? Well, unknown on Wikipedia and such places, 'cause I checked.

Okay, so Macaria ticks off her father, Hades, by making Charon send this soul back to its body because of its color. It was red and gold, like hers rather than blue like the other souls. So, Hades exiles Macaria from Hades for an undetermined length of time. But it's all handled with kid gloves. He's such a Dad! Her big brother is there to watch over her. She's got her feathered bag with her phone, clothes, and black platinum credit card. And after all these years of asking without an answer, she is now to meet and stay with a long lost family member.

And then there's that red and gold soul again. His name is Adam and they seem to have more than colors in common. Big brother is watching, remember. So is Daddy. And when things get a little too wild, and the monsters get a little too big, Daddy can lend a hand.

I thought this was a really cute story considering it's about the daughter of Hades. You just don't expect them to be a really normal family. Maybe normal's not the word. The action never seems to stop for them. I wonder what surprises are in Pretty Monsters? There goes my TBR list again! How 'bout yours?
