GoodReads Summary:
Everyone’s got a dream…

Ramona Rae is starting a new job. She’s good at starting jobs - as she’s done it over fourteen times, maybe more… She's stopped counting a long time ago. But this time, she’s convinced that her new job as a file clerk will work out.

Only Ramona is harbouring a secret dream and deep down she knows she will only ever be happy if she is a writer. When she meets Sam on her first day and he sees her scribbling in a journal, he invites Ramona to a meeting after work. And that is the day she became a member of the Dream Team – a group of people who get together to support each other’s dreams.

Sam and Kamal want to be professional musicians, while Paige wants to get married and have a family.  When Ramona finally admits that she wants to be a writer, they challenge her to write a chapter every week. The weeks go by, and Ramona soon finds herself writing more and more.

She’s never been so happy in her life.

But things take a turn for the worse when she suddenly finds herself declaring her love for someone who doesn’t feel the same way. And then things start to get complicated…

The Dream Team is a heart-warming tale about facing your fears and never giving up on your dreams. It is Eva Jordan second's novel.

My Review:
This was a good book. It reminds you that you may have a few dreams tucked away that you should perhaps dust off and pursue or maybe work harder at the one you are currently pursuing. The characters are entertaining and genuine. They are people stuck in a dead-end job working for a boss who seems like a real control freak and a jerk. The Dream Team has its meetings and pump each other up. They work at their dreams and get varying results. They have their ups and their downs. Then the balance of the group changes and no one knows how to handle the scary parts. What sort of results will come of pushing someone whose dream has exploded, who's hit the skids and can't see up? And who should do the pushing? Will dreams turn to nightmares?

It was a good read, but I did find that it was a touch on the gloomy side for me. The downs were okay, but I wanted a bit more balance from the ups.

I received this eARC from Endeavor Press and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I am being compensated in no way. All opinions are fully my own.
