Reasons to be Happy

White jeans and white cotton slacks are just the thing for a sharp, crisp look in the summer. They always look smart. Add anything to them and they will take you anywhere looking good. So I have three looks for you this morning. And I say morning because this posts at 8:00 am for me. So I always think about you reading this with a cup of coffee and a scone. Or as I do, coffee and and English muffin with freshly made blueberry jam. My husband and daughter went berry picking again this past weekend and the jam closet is filling up again this year. So far, there is strawberry, cherry, raspberry and blueberry. I hear there's to be apple as well. I don't go berry picking, nor do I get involved in the jam making. I just help with the consumption. Especially with the cherry that didn't "jell". It was delicious over vanilla ice cream with just a bit of whipped cream.
Now, back to white pants in the summer and the three looks I have for you this morning. The first one, looks patriotic, at least if you live in a country with the colors red, white and blue. That's not what it was meant to be. It just makes a pretty summer color scheme. I based it on the top and wanted to add the polka dot shoes along with the striped top. The second one is a pale palette with the white peasant style top, but in the summer, mostly white is nice and cool. I loved the sandals I found to add to this outfit. The two tones worked with the top and allowed me to add the clutch I had that I had been wanting to use. The third one is done with a corset top and kimono combination. I loved the floral print in the corset top and then I found the gorgeous handmade kimono with the gold stamping on it and had to add that. It brings out the darkest shade in the corset's print and keeps the outfit from being another light summer outfit. It adds glamour to the look. It's a look you could easily add a large hat to. And you know...
