The lovely little number up the the left hand corner is a Zac Posen creation that sells for almost $10,000. It is gorgeous! You can just picture yourself on the arm of some tall, dark and handsome dancing the night away. Reality check: your bank account doesn't stretch to $10,000. So, look at other dresses.
The Marchesa dress in the lower left has very similar lines with the fitted waist and gathered high-low skirt. The bodice doesn't have the drama of the extreme neckline, but it is lovely. It is for rent for a very reasonable $195 for the night. But you have to give it back the next morning.
The shorter high-low dress on the right has a similar silhouette. Not as dramatic perhaps. Its length is off to the side and the skirt is not as full. It has beading at the waist and bodice. And the fabric has a lovely flow. And it is a nicely reasonable $139 and you get to keep it. No returning it to the Fairy Godmother.
The last dress has a similar silhouette with the fitted waist and full skirt. It has a full bodice with a rounded neckline rather than strapless. There is a belt at the fitted waist. It is a straight hem at cocktail length. The skirt is full enough to swirl nicely when dancing. And its price is super reasonable at $66.
Accessorizing for all three dresses would be very similar to what you would do for the lovely Zac Posen dress.
So, how special is this event? And how flexible is your wallet?
